Brand Positioning Strategy
Writing distinctive and compelling Brand Positioning Strategies is my speciality. This project include comprehensive background research, in person, remote or hybrid brand workshop, a distinctive brand positioning strategy, and brand, campaign and comms recommendations and thought starters.
Brand Audit & Evaluation
Know where you are before you plan the route to where you want to get to. This project includes: Objectives and Measurement: I’ll work with you to define your brand goals and establish key metrics for measuring success. Data Gathering: I’ll conduct a thorough review of your client's brand collateral, conduct competitor analysis, brand mapping, internal workshops, and external focus groups to gather valuable insights. Analysis of Findings: I’ll analyse the data we’ve gathered to identify key Fluency, Feeling, and Fame findings and make informed recommendations. Recommendations: I’ll present my initial findings to you and your client for discussion and provide a comprehensive report that outlines actionable recommendations. Creating a Plan: I’ll work with you to co-create a project plan that delivers agreed-upon points from our recommendations.
Communication Strategy
Consistency is a key ingredient to building a profitable brand. Use a communication strategy to get everyone pulling in the same direction. In this project you'll get: Core Messaging Framework: I'll develop a clear and consistent messaging framework that aligns with the brand’s values and resonates with its target audience. Content Strategy: I'll create a strategic plan for content across different platforms, ensuring it reflects the brand’s identity and engages the audience effectively. Content Ideation: Through background research, trend analysis, SEO and stakeholder workshops, develop highly relevant and engaging content ideas. Content Playbook: An easy to follow communications framework and digital content actionable plan for all members of the comms and marketing team to follow.
Campaign Strategy
My favourite framework for a Campaign Strategy is a Get/Who/To/By. I work with different agencies to different depths of campaign strategy, but can also provide: Audience Insight and Segmentation: Identifying and understanding key audience segments to ensure the campaign resonates with the right people. Core Messaging and Positioning: Crafting compelling messages that align with the brand’s voice and connect with the audience’s needs and desires.
Employer Brand Strategy
I love getting organisations aligned around and excited about their employer brand. Build an employer brand includes: Vision & Mission: Working with senior management to understand the aspirations of the organisation. Employee Values: Engaging the full organisation around what are the behaviours we want to live by that can help them achieve the Vision & Mission. Employee Values Embedding Guide: How we live the values every day. Where the organisation can incorporate them in its existing operation rhythm. Employer Value Proposition: Working with senior management and HR develop the EVP and corresponding messaging for internal and external audiences. Launch Comms: A communications framework to Ignite, Integrate and Reiterate the new employee values. Includes a first 100 days plan and a first 12 months overview.
Brand Extension and Portfolio Strategy
This can feel like the more technical side of brand planning. I can help work out the nitty gritty of the brand architecture. Brand Extension Planning: Advising on the development of brand extensions, including new products, services, or sub-brands, ensuring alignment with the core brand.
Market Research
Whether you've got a new client you want to be fully informed on, or have been briefed on a new project, you might want to give yourself an indepth view of who they are and the context they operate in. Market Position Analysis: Identifying and evaluating the strengths, weaknesses, and market positioning of key competitors to uncover opportunities and threats for your brand. Consumer Behaviour Analysis: Exploring the needs, preferences, and purchasing behaviours of the target audience to inform strategic decisions and messaging.
